Take the responsibility as buyer of IT equipment. Return your old it-equipment and become 100% circular.
The 100%-club is an Atea initiative that started in 2018, where we challenge and support organizations to take the responsibility they have as buyers of IT equipment, which is to become 100% circular.
This means that you return your old it-equipment at the same time as you receive your new one. It´s also essential that you do that in an optimized asset recovery process with a primary focus on reuse, and secondary recycling. So, a 1:1-ratio between bought and returned it-equipment within your organization.
Our ambition is to challenge, develop, educate, and inspire Nordic organizations to become 100% circular. We believe in the model and the power of gathering around a specific and important topic and support each other in the transition!
What is Sustainable Lifecycle Management of IT-equipment?
For us sustainable lifecycle management is to take responsibility through the it-equipments whole lifecycle.
Of course, there are many things that are important when it comes to creating an environmental improvement of IT, but if you are going to start with the most important, it is about returning all equipment that is no longer used. Storage in drawers and basements is not the future.
We all know that the absolute majority of the climate impact of an IT product occurs in the manufacturing phase, and with that knowledge, the most important effort we can make is to return all devices as soon as they are not used by anyone and make them available for another need somewhere else. This will reduce the need for new products, which means that we also reduce the climate impact.
The 100% club focuses on environmental improvement of IT, which is the foundation for everything, and it starts with an asset recovery strategy.

As a member
Becoming a member is a declaration that the issue is essential, and that the organization is prepared to work towards the goal to become 100% circular.
The 100%-club is built for the members with a few, clear and vital foundations:
- Everyone is welcome, there are no requirements whatsoever to be a customer of Atea. It is important to us that everyone who wants to participate is welcome to join.
- The only requirement that exists is that you as a member work actively and systematically towards the goal. It is a responsibility you have as a member of the club, (not least towards all other members)
- Atea takes on the responsibility of keeping the club together and acting as an enabler/ supporter/ inspirer and listening to the members' needs to develop the club.
